Modern Traditional Living Room Update Using My New Favorite Amazon Curtains
I found the most beautiful and affordable curtains from Amazon that I used to give my living room an update for Spring and Summer

(Disclaimer-this will be a quick post with more pictures than words but I wanted to give my Amazon curtains the love that they deserve here on my blog.)
Last year ago, I redecorated my “front” living room. Remember back in the day, there was a family room and living room?
I never understood the reasoning but now I appreciate it.
We use this front living room so much. Sadly we use it more now since I put furniture (and a TV) in this room.
We use every square inch of our house. Why not?
Make a room comfy and inviting and it will get used. That’s my motto.
That’s how I justify things in my head…and to my husband who has stopped listening to me a long time ago
When we first moved in, this room was just the junk room. I shoved whatever left over furniture from our move into this room.
This room has taken on many looks over the years.
Want to see them?
Too bad, I’ll show you anyways
2019
(I cringe a bit looking back at this picture. I have come a long way in decorating my home and apparently have come a long way with editing my pictures too..yikes)
2020
(We moved our IKEA Ektorp sofas into this room after we purchased our sectional for our family room)
2021
I played a game of musical coffee tables and found a great dupe to a much more expensive ottoman.
2022
I painted these 2 rooms Farrow and Ball Light Blue-color matched at Behr

The biggest changes happened this year. You can read more about my “moody” living room makeover here.
and here we are today….
Have you noticed, the one and only thing that has stayed constant since back in the day was the giant mirror on the wall??!!
Sometimes you find something that is just a keeper for years and years to come.
And the fact that it weighs more than me helps as I have no intentions of moving it…ever.
The weather is warming up so I wanted to make a small change in this room. The easiest way to freshen up your home is to switch out your textiles…pillows, blankets, curtains etc
So that’s what I did. I switched out the curtains and I knew I was going to use my most favorite curtains ever from Amazon.
White accent chair//Olive Tree//Sofa
And since this room is connected to our dining room where these curtains are already hung, it only made sense to continue the same curtains into this room
These curtains are seriously the best curtains you will ever get your hands on. They are so pretty, already pleated, affordable and hang so nicely right out of the package.
I have shared them on my Instagram page as much as I possibly can.
I will never use another curtain ever again.
I also found the most perfect (affordable) designer dupe swivel chair ever. I loved it so much that I sold my Target chairs I had in here for it.
It was hard to say goodbye to those chairs but I got over it quickly.
I also took down the little gallery wall in this room. There was nothing wrong with it, I just wanted a change.
And with the new curtains up, I was wanting some more “softness” in this room.
I moved around a few lamps and decor pieces for fun because I cannot keep anything well enough alone.
I also love changing out the lamp shades on my lamps. An inexpensive (or in my case thrifted) lamp shade can give a new look to any lamp
And the newest (and most exhausting) addition to this living room is my new coffee table decor my husband brought home.
Without telling me
I was trying to get pictures of this room taken and little Miss decided it was a good idea to jump on my (expensive) ottoman.
It’s a good thing she is cute and if I could link her on LTK I would have already.
As I said, this was going to be a quick read but if you take anything away from this post it is;
1.) Buy these Amazon curtains
2.) It’s ok to redecorate your room until you get it how you like it
3.) It’s your home so decorate it how you want
