The best affordable vintage and farmhouse inspired rugs
Let’s talk about rugs for a hot second, k? They are a pain in the butt. They shouldn’t be but they are to me. I spent the past few days looking for the perfect rug for my entry way and for my office/study room (another day, another post on that one). I easily looked at 15,562 rugs and sent them all to my friend for her input (thanks Leslie if you are reading this) because I could NOT make up my mind. Some rugs seem to find me…like my front porch rug, he just found me and I bought him in 5 seconds flat. But for some reason finding a rug I loved for the entry way was a doozy. My entry is getting painted (ideally very soon) and will likely go all white (!!) or Silver Drop by Behr like the rest of my house so I had to picture this rug in a light and bright space and not the dark and dungeon like space that it is.
I really wanted to get a true and real vintage rug for this space and I looked on Etsy like a mad woman. Some of the rugs were gorgeous (also more than I wanted to spend). Deep down though I just kept picturing my husband’s face when I told him I spent hundreds of dollars on an old rug that for all he cares is, well…dirty. So I stayed in the new rug category. But I still wanted a vintage-ish rug. This is the guy I ended up getting and honestly he was one of the first ones that caught my eye but I still proceeded to look at 15,561 more for fun. But I did have a top 10..and they were mostly all under $100 for a 4×6. Ready…
