Bloggers Best Holiday Home Tour 2020
Welcome to The Bloggers Best Holiday Home Tour! Today is the last day of the tour. I hope you enjoyed the week of Christmas inspiration.
You can find the link to each blogger at the end of this post if you missed any.
Thank you Mansa from This is Simplicite and Kelly from The Tattered Pew for hosting. I hope you enjoyed Joy’s beautiful home.
How it is December already is beyond me. It feels like yesterday I was writing my blog post from Christmas of last year. I’m talking about this one.
So here we are again, and this year I am even more excited for this blog hop. The year is coming to an end and we all need a little holly jolly in our lives.
I tried to mix it up this year from what I did last year because that is what good bloggers do. I could have pulled one over on all of you and just used the same pictures from last year. But I wouldn’t dare. I thought about it though.
I tried so hard to just use ONLY what I had but that didn’t work out too well. There is no such thing as too much garland is there? I did add some more garland and wreaths and maybe another tree to my collection this year. But you will see some of my ol’ faithfuls too.

My main formula I use every year when decorating for Christmas is:
Wreaths
Garland
Twinkling lights
More garland
A bunch of stockings
Lots of Christmas trees.
And then more garland
And then one more wreath
Did you get that?
Let us start with my mantel because if you know me at all, then you know I redecorate my mantel multiple times….a day.
Hi my name is Jenna and I am indecisive.
I was so proud of myself this year. I only changed my mantel a few times. Last year I changed my mantel 5,689 times. I did a blog post all about my mantel this year if you want to see it here.
For now, I will just share a few pics.
Also, for those that need symmetry in their life (my husband) then you won’t be a fan of my mantel this year. He keeps asking me when I’m going to finish the rest of the mantel (insert eye roll).
I (on the other hand) love a good asymmetrical mantel. If this is too much for your symmetrical eyes, check out my mantel from last year…it started off symmetrical (I think.) This year though, I just went for it…asymmetrical and all….
I tried to add as much Christmas greenery as I could in our family room. We aren’t putting our large Christmas tree in this room this year. This room just wasn’t designed with a Christmas tree in mind. So I had to improvise with wreaths on the windows…
And a little tree in the back corner of the family room…
I added some Christmas to my bookshelves too…
I put my King of Christmas tree from last year in our dining room this year. It was just the perfect spot for it
I was highly considering decorating our tree this year the same way I did last year but I found the tassel garland at Hobby Lobby and just thought it looked so cute on my tree. And then the next thing I knew, burgundy ribbon and magnolia leaves were going on my tree.
Since the tree is now hanging out in the dining room, I tried to keep it simple in here too with some wreaths and a plaid tablecloth/blanket on the table.
Our main Christmas tree…the real tree that we cut down with our bare hands…will go in our front room (in the corner where the plant is) so I didn’t do a whole lot in here for that reason.
I just switched out some pillows and changed up some artwork…and sometimes that is all you need..
We are going this weekend to get our real tree so I will try to update this post with a picture (which I am sure I will forget to do)
I found the perfect pencil tree this year at Walmart. He’s a good one. Nice and tall and skinny…how I like all of my Christmas trees.
He just fits perfectly in that little spot. I love having a tree right by the front door..
(PS…see my mums on the front porch? It was still technically fall out on the front porch when I was snapping these pictures. But once you stepped inside it was a winter wonderland.)
I had no real plans for my stairs this year. I used the same garland I had from last year and just added some cute stockings and mini globe lights to them
The stockings I found this year at Hobby Lobby. They were so inexpensive and are now some of my favorite stockings. My mini globe lights I found at TJ Maxx last year but Target has similar ones.
I even threw some ribbon and greenery on my fake sconces at the last minute.
I picked up this wreath from Hobby Lobby and thought I would eventually return it (because that is what I always tell myself when I shop). It looks like I’m keeping it though . It’s such a good wreath I can’t part with it. I added a bow and some bells to it to jazz it up a bit and to give it some contrast from the black door.
Next to our entry is my “officendry” room (that’s short for office/laundry…I literally just made this word up this very second). I just added a few things in here too. I had those paper stars on my stairs last year and I was struggling to find a place for them this year. I’m not quite sure if I love them here but I don’t care enough to move them. That’s usually how most of my decorating goes.
A view I do not show often is my kitchen. I have discussed this before. I don’t hate my kitchen but we still are not great friends. We are warming up to each other though. But the only time I take a picture of my kitchen is when I risk my life adding garland around the window…
The flocked garland is also from Walmart. I’ve been pretty impressed with my Christmas finds at Walmart….in case you were really wondering.
I always love decorating my front porch for Christmas. I try to mix it up every year but sometimes it’s hard to think of new ideas for the same exact space every year.
I used the same prelit Christmas trees as I did last year. And you guessed it, these trees are also from Walmart
(I could not have timed my picture taking any better. We got a good 6 inches of snow the night before I took these pictures.)
I combined prelit fake garland (yep, from Walmart) with some real pine garland. I love the real stuff but I know I wanted some more umph to my garland so I just layered the two. I literally just hung the real garland right on top of the fake garland.
I picked up a few new lanterns too. My original lanterns have seen better days and I could not pass these up when I saw them. They will definitely be permanent additions to my everyday decor.
And since I took a thousand pictures of my snowy front porch….here are more pictures for your viewing pleasure.
And that’s a wrap! I hope you enjoyed my Christmas home tour that hopefully looks somewhat different from last year.

I so much enjoyed your Christmas home Tour! I like your symmetrical mantel. Seeing how you have so many pretty garlands in your home makes me want to go out and buy more for mine. I almost cheered when I saw snow on the ground in your porch pictures. How lucky that you’ve already had snow!

I was giggling when you were describing your husband thinking the mantel wasn’t done because it was asymetrical .That would totally happen in my house if I tried something funky and totally cool like that! I love it; always up for doing something out of the box! Loved your whole house tour!
